2. How the Download Process Works

When you submit a TikTok URL, TikDow makes a request to TikTok's publicly accessible content delivery network on your behalf. The resulting media file is streamed directly to your browser as a download. At no point is this file written to our server's disk storage or retained in any database. Once your download is complete, no trace of the file or the URL you submitted remains.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

TikDow does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or persistent cookies of any kind. We may use essential session-level browser storage solely to maintain the state of the current page session, for example to remember your selected language during a visit. This data is never transmitted to any server and is cleared when you close your browser tab.

We do not use any cookie consent banners because there are no non-essential cookies to consent to.

TikDow uses TikTok's publicly available API and content delivery infrastructure to retrieve video data. When you submit a URL, a request is made to TikTok's servers. Our web server automatically records standard access logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, referring URL, the pages you visited, and the time of your request. These logs are used solely for diagnosing technical issues and maintaining server security. They are not shared with third parties and are retained for a maximum of 30 days before being permanently deleted.

Because TikDow does not store personal data, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal information is minimal. All connections to TikDow are secured using HTTPS encryption, ensuring that your URL submissions and file downloads are transmitted securely between your browser and our server.
